Terms and Conditions
Our Terms and Conditions will apply to all transactions on this site and are intended to follow the guidelines set out in the DTI's Distance Selling regulations (2000). They do not affect your statutory rights.
Our terms and conditions may change at any time. Changes will take effect on the date they are published on the site (see the date at the top of this page). Before placing an order you will be asked to read and accept these terms and conditions.
The Contract
At various stages throughout the ordering process and before finally submitting your order you will have an opportunity to check and correct any input errors.
After finally submitting your order the screen will respond immediately with an Order Reference Number and details of the products you have ordered, we suggest you print this page and retain a copy for future reference.
We will also send a copy of these details to the email address given during the order process (first email), please note that this email is an acknowledgement of and not an acceptance of your order.
When your order has been processed and despatched we will send a second email confirming despatch and detailing the delivery schedule, this second email confirms our acceptance of your order and forms a legally binding contract between us.
Alternatively, we may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case our second email will tell you so.
Prices and Payment
All prices and charges are shown in UK pounds sterling. They include any VAT payable, but exclude delivery charges (for details see 'Delivery' below).
The total cost of your order will be the price of the products you order plus the applicable delivery charge. All these will be set out clearly in your Shopping Basket before you submit your order.
Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order.
We make every effort to ensure that all information on this site is accurate. However errors can occur, if we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered, we will tell you and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it.
We accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, Delta and Switch. Payment is deducted when an order is submitted.
Delivery
Orders placed before 1pm Mon-Fri will be processed the same business day and subject to acceptance will be despatched the same day, orders placed after 1pm will be processed during the next business day.
All products are delivered either by courier or by post, depending on their size and value.
During the order process you may select a delivery address different to the address at which your payment card is registered (this option is only available on orders with a total value under £500 and is not available in Scotland). The alternative delivery address must be in the United Kingdom and must be a registered business address (this excludes the Channel Islands).
All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox).
Please open all deliveries immediately and read the guidelines on the delivery note enclosed with your order. Any omissions or errors must be reported within three working days.
Our courier will attempt to deliver your goods next working day (see above schedule) if you are not there to sign for the goods a calling card will be left at the delivery address, this card contains the contact details and area map for the nearest courier depot. If you do not contact the courier depot delivery will be attempted the following working day. At this point if you are not at the address to sign, the goods will be held at the courier depot until you contact them. If you request a re-delivery you will be charged a further £5, if you collect the goods there is no surcharge.
We encourage you to contact the the courier ASAP, failure to contact the courier within 5 working days of the first delivery attempt will result in the goods being returned to our warehouse. In this instance your payment card will be surcharged with £10 to cover the cost of returing the goods to us.
Over 98% of goods are succesfully delivered next day and instances of surcharge are very rare, but will be applied where necessary.
Delivery Charges
We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. Our charge depends on the type of product ordered and will always be confirmed before final checkout, as a guideline we usually charge £6.99 for cameras, video cameras, etc, £9.99 for full size printers and £2.99 for small items such as media cards and batteries.
You will only pay one delivery charge, irrespective of the number of products ordered (subject to weight and insurance valuation limits). If you order two or more products which fall into different categories, the higher charge will apply.
Courier Delivery Times
Courier delivery times are based on working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive.
Orders placed before 1pm on a working day will be despatched the same working day and should arrive the following working day. In the case of bank holidays please allow at least one extra working day.

Postal delivery times are based on working days - i.e. Monday to Friday inclusive.

IMPORTANT: We do everything we can to meet the delivery times specified in this section. However, occasionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and therefore they cannot be guaranteed. We will inform you if we become aware of an unexpected delay. Please allow extra days for deliveries to remote postcodes i.e. Scottish Islands etc.
Tracking Courier Deliveries
When we confirm the despatch of your parcel we will supply a tracking reference and tracking link, you will then be able to track the progress of your parcel by logging into the tracking service.
Cancellations and Returns
You can cancel your purchase at any time either before or up to 7 days after delivery by:

Your product must be complete, unused and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories. Pre-recorded videotapes, DVDs, CDs, minidiscs and other software must be sealed. Any 'Free Gifts' received with the product must also be returned.
You will receive a full refund, and the cancellation is free of charge provided you inform us that you intend to cancel within this 7 day period and return the goods within a reasonable period of time.
We cannot cancel your purchase when:
you are unable to provide proof of purchase;
the seal has been broken on any software or consumable;
the goods were a special order to your specification.
Return of Faulty Goods
If there is a fault with your product within the specified guarantee period, we will normally offer a prompt repair, exchange or refund (at our discretion). Under normal circumstances we will offer you the choice of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 28 days of delivery.
To qualify for a refund or exchange the product must be:
in otherwise "as new" condition; and complete with any accessories and free gifts offered with it (and, if possible, the original box and packaging).
If your goods develop a fault during the manufacturers guarantee period (usually 12 months from delivery) we would recommend you return them directly to the manufacturers service department, this is the fastest and safest way. If however you wish to return your goods to us then please return them to Guarantee Repairs, Buyacamera, 71c Bradley Hall Estate, Standish, Lancs. WN6 0XQ.
If your goods develop a fault during any extension of the manufacturers guarantee period offered by Buyacamera at delivery date, then the goods must be returned to Guarantee Repairs, Buyacamera, 71c Bradley Hall Estate, Standish, Lancs. WN6 0XQ.
Guarantees do not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. For consumable items (e.g. non-rechargeable batteries, camera films, ink cartridges etc) the guarantee period is three months from delivery.
When returning products you are advised to use an insured parcel service which requires a signature on delivery as we will not be held responsible for products lost or damaged in transit.

Data Protection
We take a responsible approach to data protection and never pass on your details to third parties, from time to time we may use your details to inform you of promotions etc., if you do not wish to receive any communications please indicate this when placing your order.

Buyacamera and our suppliers own the copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this website, which you may use, download, copy, publish, transmit or otherwise make available by any other means only for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use or reproduction of the material or content is strictly prohibited.
All images displayed on the website are provided for guidance only and are not always an exact match to the goods which will be supplied.
You may not create any link to this website without our prior written consent, nor may you restrict or inhibit the use or enjoyment of it by anyone else.
General
These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions only cover the Buyacamera website. Any other websites to which you link from this site are governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content or operation of websites which are not under our control. We are required by law to tell you that sales can be concluded in English only and that no public filing requirements apply.
