The Canon BG-E8 is a vertical control grip for the Canon EOS 550D digital SLR camera which also allows the simultaneous use of 2 BP-E8 Lithium Ion batteries to extend battery life, it also allows you to use AA batteries in place of the BP-E8. The Canon BG-E8 also provides improved handling when using the EOS 550D in the vertical/portrait position, key controls such as the shutter release button are duplicated on the grip to provide easier control when the camera is rotated through 90 degrees. |
